Significant hires: Ray White Commercial NSW 2017 plans

Expanding on strong growth since its inception three years ago, Ray White Commercial NSW has made significant hires in early 2017, adding two new directors to the team.

David Lyons, previously the Head of Sales and Investments at Cushman and Wakefield and Tony Braham previously a Sydney-based Associate Director for CBRE, began senior roles with Ray White on February 1.

They bring with them 71 years of combined experience and follow strong growth for the Commercial NSW division, which was formed in 2014 as a partnership between Ray White Group and industry leader, Jeff Moxham.

David Lyons, who has 43 years’ real estate experience, including as Country Head of JLL Vietnam and previously their Australian Head of Metropolitan Sales and Investments, has been a regular commentator on Sky Business News.

“My experience and knowledge enables me to advise on a broad range of property matters,” he said, adding that he brings strong Asian investor connections.

“I will be driving new business opportunities across commercial, retail, investment and lifestyle properties,” David Lyons said, adding that he was inspired by Ray White Commercial NSW’s incredible team and where Jeff is taking the business.

“Jeff and I used to work together at JLL and I had a good chat with Dan White [Director of Ray White Group] and feel very comfortable with the company’s direction and philosophy.”

Tony Braham, speaking of his appointment as Director said he will be specialising in commercial properties, investment sales and the amalgamation of potential development sites.

“Many of my clients have been with me for 28 years. My broad depth of experience and knowledge of business development and finance enables me to offer great insight to my clients,” Tony Braham said.

Asked why he made the move, Tony Braham said: “Ray White’s extensive national market reach and modern systems coupled with their unique client-first approach is unrivalled. It’s a great fit for me and more importantly an advantage to my clients. Ray White is very much an advancing operation.”

Tony Braham is forecasting a good year for commercial real estate in NSW.

“The market is strong. There is still a lot of buyer appetite out there and we have tight stock levels.”

Ray White Commercial NSW managing director and partner, Jeff Moxham, said the appointments are exciting for the business and will add strong seniority and expertise to the team.

“They share our commitment to long term client relationships and place great importance on providing quality service.”
